| Pole Dance Series: This series is my personal way of sharing with the world the beauty of pole dancing. I hope, through illustration, I can reach a wider audience outside of our dance community to consider how incredible this aerial art is and to reduce the stigma that is usually associated to it. My aim is to create a new series of pin-ups not only celebrating a woman's beauty, but also her physical strength and grace. Each of my models are dancers who have inspired me throughout my journey. |
Title: "Diana"

Title: "Embody"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2012
This is comissioned art from the lovely Embody Pole FItness Studio in Corona, CA! This is the first time I've drawn a silks artist which expands upon this series. :)
Title: "Suwasit"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2012
Fifth in my pole series. Presenting the gorgeous & the strong, SUWASIT! In this portrait, he's holding a solid shoulder mount (with a smile!) I added a Thai inspired pattern in the background to commemorate his heritage and the glitter is so very Las Vegas, don't you think?
This beautiful man is a pole dancer and aerialist performer and teacher in Las Vegas. You can find him at Shine Fitness. Next time I'm in Las Vegas, Nevada, I won't be partying. I'll be pole-ing! WE LOVE OUR POLE DANCE BOYS! YAY!
Title: "Floating Yogini"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2012
Fourth in my pole series. My friend, Heidi Neilson, performed this Yogini inspired dance for the 2010 Polestars competition in Los Angeles. Back when I was a beginner, I watched Heidi rehearse this piece in the dance studio and my jaw hit the FLOOR when I saw her get into this pose. Watching her dance, I knew I wanted to get stronger and become a more confident person. Her interpretation of her character made it really easy for me to paint her as a gravity defying yogini in a beautiful world. Please watch the routine here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc-1vlLrJ5Y
Title: "Black Swan"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2012
Third in my pole series. This was inspired by 2011 United States Pole Dance Champion, Natasha Wang. I have had the pleasure to watch her dance in person and I'm blown away by her grace and unique style. After I saw her do this move, the "Russian Pole Split," during CPDC, I was forever changed. Pole became my life.
Find her online at: Natasha Wang's Facebook Page
Her USPDF routine was inspired by the Black Swan film. And so, I have paired her with the stunning waterbird in flight. I had no idea they had white flight feathers!
Title: "Steampunk Pole"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2011
I've always wanted to see a poler wear a Victorian / Steampunk themed costume. This one was inspired by my fabulous instructor and performer, Leigh Acosta! She is based out of Los Angeles, CA :) She always has gorgeous lines and incredible strength. My inspiration since the beginning of my pole life! See more of her photos and videos at www.leighacosta.com
Title: "Take Flight"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2011
First piece in my pole series. This was drawn while I was obsessed with the "teddy" hold. Inspired by the woman who taught me the move, award winning pole dancer, Nadia Sharif. The birds are Lazuli Buntings which are native to the West Coast. So, west coast polers, REPRESENT!

| Plant Series: My husband has a penchant for working on plants and bonsai so he spends a lot of time on botanical studies. I've combined my love for drawing the female form with the unique plant life we have at our home to create this series. |
Title: "Epiphyllum"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2012
My husband's aunt gave him a lovely cactus orchid last year. This is a jungle cactus that grows long, flat arms and produces incredible, showy flowers.
Shown at the Girls Drawin' ON Girls show at Flower Pepper Gallery in Pasadena.
Title: "The Elephant's Foot"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2011
This one is dedicated to my husband whose favorite plant as of late has been the "Elephant's Foot." It's the gorgeous dioscorea elephantipes caudiciform plant with an awesome tortoise shell shaped root. I don't believe they grow to the size as I have depicted here, but the largest I've ever seen is about 3' round.
Title: "Cat Tail"
Medium: Pencil, Digital Painting, 2011
Title: Euphorbia
Medium: Pencil & Digital
"Sticks on Fire" Euphorbias are beautiful plants. However, one should never touch the milky sap inside with bare hands. It can cause redness and stinging! The plant itself is enchanting with bright, saturated pink tips. Just like my little red-head here. -_^ |
| Misc Illustrations/Commissions: Various illustrations I've either drawn for shows, for fun or as commissions pieces. This collection will also include fan-art from my favorite books, movies or cartoons. :) |
