My entire personality is a bizarre duality and coming to terms with that has always been a challenge in life and in my artwork. I am a woman who is particular to tradition while also a rebel at heart.
I started my art education in Western Art History & Classical Music and fell in love with all its associated aesthetics. I love the elegance, grace and frivolity of the Rococo period and the seriousness and the intense emotional realism of the Baroque. Thus I strive for traditional beauty and form in my work which usually features women or the nude figure. My goal is to always channel an inner feminity and seductress to inspire passion in my viewers.
I enjoy being carefree in my art using bold colors and experimenting with different drawing styles. In my illustrations, you can find subject matter inspired from pop-culture: video games, comic books,
literature, dance and anime. My illustrations have been recently featured in the Twilight: Official Illustrated Guide.
I live in Los Angeles, CA with my husband Nguyen "Win" Dong who is also an artist. His artwork can be seen at nhoinla.com. Together we have four dispicable, lazy cats. I am a graphic and website designer, product photographer and website manager by day and an illustrator, cosplayer and pole dance enthusiast by night. I most recently had the honor to cosplay as Chun li at the Los Angeles Capcom Fight Club at Belasco Theater.
